The creation of MPS was never ever planned, it literally just happened way back in the mid 90's when I personally got so fed up with the gear I was using falling to bits, snapping, corroding, oxidizing and the so called "protective coating" just wearing off or even flaking off, just about everything available at the time was being made of very poor quality cheap, easy to work with materials like Aluminium, with the only exceptions being Solar, Obelisk and Steve Neville which were out of my price league with a young family to provide for. So I ended up going to the local scrap metal merchants (Frank Barnes) and bought a few bits of Stainless-Steel tube which would slide inside each other, a few days later I had made myself some usable (Just!) Bank Sticks, but still better than the mass-produced junk I had been using. Things then just progressed as numerous other local anglers saw what I was using, then asked if I would make some for them as well, the rest is just history as they say. 

All hand built here in Darwen Lancashire, nothing is mass produced (That's the reason for there  not being a "Buy Now" ability available on this web site ) as there are just so many Custom/bespoke options catered for, with most at no extra cost, hence it's best to contact me via the details below to discuss your requirements. 

Everything is made using the very best materials possible and assembled using the very best methods known (not the quickest) plus built to specifications ideal for the application – not as minimal as possible with only the profit margin being the priority.


"Why are the Tridents named after Cats?"  a question I often get asked, well they actually are not, they are actually named after German Panzers (Types of Tanks used in WWII) After many customers who know their stuff would come out with the statement "Hell It's built like a Tank!" in other words built to never fail and last a very long time. 

This new web site insisted on a social media platform presence, so Facebook was picked, rather then all this usual "In your face" sales hype crap, it's being used more as a explanatory way to show products, with a added angle of actually being used on the bank on  numerous Stillwater's and Rivers.
